Abstract: Award-winning performance artist Ashanti Douglas has finally found a buyer for her home in Old Westbury, N.Y., after putting it up for sale last summer.

The R&B singer and New York native originally put the property on the market in July 2022 for $2.198 million. A year later, after no takers, the listing sold for $1.95 million - the same price she paid for the house in 2003 at the height of her fame.

The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home was built in 1999 at the end of a cul-de-sac. The brick colonial sits on two acres and features spacious rooms, cathedral ceilings and a beautifully landscaped lawn.

The 5,345-square-foot home is filled with eye-catching details - a wide staircase and sparkling chandelier in the foyer, patterned tile flooring in the entryway, and other attractive touches.

The living room has a marble fireplace and a window overlooking the garden. Nearby, French doors lead to the patio, ideal for morning coffee or sunset cocktails.

Across the hall is the formal dining room with hardwood floors and wainscoting. Adjacent is a eat-in kitchen with breakfast nook, bar and tile floors.

The main suite on the first floor includes a spa bathroom with additional bedrooms nearby.

There is also a swimming pool, three-car garage, office and motor court. In addition, it is conveniently located just 25 miles from Manhattan.

Ashanti, 42, is probably best known for her work on 'Foolish', 'Baby' and 'Happy' in the early 2000s. In addition to music, she has starred in films such as Coach Carter and John Tucker Must Die. She is also co-owner of the technology company EQ Exchange.
